本記事では、情報セキュリティなどについて独学で知見を得ている私が、現在知っている範囲においてマリアナウェブに関する情報をまとめさせていただきます。

また、マリアナウェブに関する誤った情報の拡散を防止するため、本記事に記載されている情報を複製する場合には必ず本記事のリンクを掲載してください。

マリアナウェブの正体

マリアナウェブについて、「アクセスには量子コンピューターが必要」など噂されていますが、結論から述べると、その正体は単なるプライベートネットワークです。

しかし、多数の個人や団体が「プライベートネットワーク」の事を「マリアナウェブ」としてあたかも深層であるかのように話すため、マリアナウェブは無数に存在しています。

その規模は様々で、単にlocalhostでサーバーを立ち上げて特殊なドメインからアクセスするだけのものもあれば、プライベートネットワークにアクセスする専用のVPNが開発されているものもあります。

前者について技術的な詳細に述べると、ApacheやNginx等のデーモンをlocalhost:80に立ち上げておき、hostsファイルなどを利用してDNSを書き換えることで、任意のドメインにおいて特定のページを開くことができます。

ただし、デーモンをリバースプロキシとして構築しておくことで更に外部へリクエストを流すことが可能ですので、localhost:80は単なる経由地点に過ぎないことも考えられます。ですから、誰かがApacheやNginxを用いたマリアナウェブのアクセスを提唱している場合には、そのhttpd.conf等の構成などを精査してみてください。

lifeやlinkは2014年に開放されていますが、私が参照した記事の多くも2014年頃に執筆されており、当該ネットワークは2013年以前から存在していたと推測されます。
そのため、lifeやlinkというTLDが登場する前に作られた、"同一のTLDだが別のTLD"であると考えます。
